Overview

Also called leiomyomas, these can be intramural, submucosal, or subserosal, depending on their location. Common in women over 30.

Causes

  • Estrogen dominance
  • Family history
  • Obesity, high red meat intake
  • Early menstruation

Symptoms

  • Heavy or prolonged periods
  • Pelvic pressure or pain
  • Frequent urination

  • Infertility or miscarriage
